Manual & CorelDRAW Jewellery Design
This online, self-paced course is an introduction to jewellery design and can be accessed through a browser. The student learns both manual design and the use of a 2D software - CorelDRAW for jewellery design.

This unique 2 module programme provides
- Fundamentals of manual jewellery design and computer aided jewellery design (CorelDRAW).
- Detailed and in-depth videos and other learning resources such as reading material, assignments and reference material. These are designed in a way that teach you the fundamentals of manual and computer aided jewellery design in an intensive way.
- Highly structured course modules are prepared by IIGJ faculty with content that is completely based on their rich experience of teaching jewellery design at the Institutes.
- The same educational benefits as those enjoyed by our classroom students. As an added advantage, even as an online course student you will also have access to periodic real-time sessions
Course Structure
- Duration of 2 module course: 180 hours (4 months).
- Completing and submitting each module’s assignments and being assessed on them opens the door to the next modules.
How to start learning on the LMS
- Registration on LMS (Learning Management System) with rich reading and learning material shall be provided to all students.
- Face to face online sessions will also be scheduled on a weekly basis and communicated to you through the LMS. This is over and above the chat sessions available in the LMS for doubt clarifications.
Important instructions before starting your course which is about the fundamentals of design
- You will have to complete 30 sessions in Design (Module 1) and 20 sessions in 2D CAD – CorelDRAW (Module 2).
- Each session has 3 or more of the following components :
- Session video with demonstrations
- Quiz – A point will be assigned for attempting the quiz questions after watching the video. Multiple attempts are allowed.
- Assignments – Basic and Advanced. These will have to be uploaded for assessment. Marks will be given and points allocated based on the assessment by concerned faculty members.
- Session Notes – These notes contain the highlights of the learning for that session.
- Reference list of websites, articles, blogs etc. – For further learning.
- You will need to watch the eLearning videos carefully, attempt the basic assignment and quiz (if any) to successfully finish one lesson.
- If you are keen on raising your ability bar, you may also attempt the advanced assignment for which you will be awarded extra points.
- You will need to upload the assignment for assessment by the concerned faculty.
- After successfully completing Module 1, Module 2 will automatically be enabled.
- Real-time sessions with faculty members for questions and discussions will be announced on the LMS from time to time.
- You will need a basic kit of some design materials before you start your course, the list of which is provided in a separate document.
