The Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) Mumbai inaugurated its newly renovated, state-of-the-art campus, marking a significant milestone in its journey of nurturing talent and shaping the jewellery industry. The inauguration was graced by Shri Kirit Bhansali, Chairman of GJEPC, along with top industry leaders including Shri Dilipbhai V Lakhi, Chairman, Lakhi Group, Shri Raj Hiten Parikh, MD, Unidesign Jewellery, Shri Adil Kotwal, President, SEEPZ GJMA, Shri Sanjay Kothari, IIGJ Founding Board Member and Shri Sabyasachi Ray, Exec. Director, GJEPC. The ceremony was chaired by Shri Milan Chokshi, Chairman of IIGJ Mumbai and Shri Debasish Biswas, CEO, who expressed gratitude to the industry and stakeholders for their unwavering support.
The upgraded campus features advanced laboratories, modern learning facilities and enhanced infrastructure designed to provide students with an immersive and industry-aligned learning experience. Since its establishment in 2002, IIGJ Mumbai has trained over 8,000 professionals, producing graduates who have excelled as designers, artisans and industry leaders. With the institute poised to become a Deemed University under UGC by 2026-27, the modern campus further reinforces IIGJ’s commitment to excellence in skill development, innovation and industry engagement.
