Internship Summary:
Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery Delhi (IIGJ Delhi), a subsidiary of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), is offering an internship opportunity in the Gemology Department. This role provides hands-on training in gemological practices, offering interns a chance to work with industry-standard tools and professionals. It is ideal for individuals aspiring to build a career in gemology through practical experience and industry exposure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the identification, classification, and grading of gemstones.
- Perform gem testing using gemological instruments under supervision.
- Record observations and prepare reports based on gem testing and analysis.
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of lab equipment and tools.
- Participate in research or special projects as directed by the team.
- Support faculty during training sessions, workshops, or demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and Diploma in Gemology from a reputed institute.
- Basic knowledge of gemstone properties and identification techniques.
- Familiarity with gemological tools such as refractometers, microscopes, spectrometers, etc.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Hindi is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
