Great design begins with a story. It’s time to create yours. Be inspired by the diverse themes of Varanasi or the magnificent symbols of UP Challenge your creativity to conceptualize a new design style and be the glorious winner at the first-ever jewellery design competition in the state of UP.
IIGJ Design Utsav 2020 is open to aspiring design talents, including budding and professional jewellery designers, jewellery designers working in retail jewellers or manufacturing units, under graduates and graduates from all jewellery and fashion design disciplines in the state of U.P.
Entries will be accepted under 3 categories
Designs can be inspired from the prominent themes of the city of Varanasi. For example, traditional temples, ghats, river ganga, paan, lanes of banaras, Assi ghat etc.
Designs can be inspired from the prominent state symbols such as state tree ‘Ashoka’, state flower ‘Palash’, state dance ‘Kathak’, state animal ‘swamp deer’, Lord Rama motifs, Lord Krishna motifs, Rudraksh mala and such like.
Designs can be inspired from the various state temples, Buddhist stupas, ancient monasteries, townships and memorials and other community structures. For this category, the jury is looking for a charming ensemble of jewellery and apparel.
