The Eleventh programme regarding Gold Appraisal was conducted for the Bank Executives of HDFC bank, at Gurgaon on 6th November 2011. There was a group of 26 trainees from in and around Gurgaon.
The training included theoretical background as well as hands-on practice for a systematic approach for evaluating the gold content of jewellery.
The purpose of the training programme is to identify fake gold jewellery which is a core issue of the bankers who advances loans against gold.
This programme was conducted by Mr. Uttamkumar Das, (HOD of Manufacturing, Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery, Mumbai.)
