IIGJ Launches On-Site Training Programs in Jewellery Industry

Smt. Alka Panda, IAS, Additional Director General, BIS, New Delhi, visited IIGJ Mumbai on 29th September 2011, at 10.00 hrs.
She was taken around the Institute by Col S.K.Arora (Retd), Head of the Institute. The purpose of her visit was to see the conduct of artisans training workshop as a part of “Hallmarking Awareness Week” and understand the State of the art training facilities available at IIGJ. She appreciated the State of the art training facilities at IIGJ for training in Jewellery Manufacturing. She recommended that IIGJ should become a training centre for BIS.
After going around the Institute, Smt Alka Panda commented in the IIGJ visitor’s Book “An Incredible Institute”
